YP Week 2021

NAHB’s annual YP Week gives members and HBAs the opportunity to showcase their local groups dedicated to young professionals (YPs) in home building. YPs can learn more about how to engage with their peers at the local level.

During YP Week 2021, Oct. 4-8, NAHB will be highlighting the resources and networking opportunities created by the national office. Young home building professionals can engage virtually in different places, such as the NAHB YP Facebook group or on NAHB Connect.

For more information on YP Week programming, see the flyer.

We are also encouraging local YP groups in HBAs around the country to highlight the events and resources they make available to their members. Post on social media using #NAHBYP and #YPWEEK to show everyone what your YPs are up to.

As always, NAHB YPs will be participating in Careers in Construction Day, a day of social media action on Oct. 4. We are asking everyone in the industry to snap a picture of themselves on the jobsite and post to social using #CICDAY2021. Let’s show the world what home building really looks like.

This year we are adding a philanthropic aspect to YP Week, and ask that you and your HBA work with a local food pantry to collect food items for your community. Post your progress throughout the week on the YP Facebook Group and keep track of the number of canned food items you collect. The highest number of canned items donated to your local food pantry will get all the national YP bragging rights.

YP Week is a great opportunity to engage with other young professionals in the industry and make connections in advance of the 2022 International Builders’ Show in Orlando, Feb. 8-10. The YP Party is always a premier event.
