9 Members Win Trips to Napa in Recruitment Competition

Congratulations to the nine NAHB Builder members who signed up the most new* members during the 2020 Fall Membership Drive. For their hard work and dedication to growing membership, each has earned an all-inclusive trip to Napa Valley, Calif. But more importantly, they helped strengthen the Federation by collectively recruiting more than 100 new members from Sept. 1 to Nov. 30, 2020. Here are the top recruiters (listed in alphabetical order) in their respective HBA size category:

Recruiters Share Their Winning Ways

NAHB caught up with some of the winners to get their reactions and learn more about their success:

Randy Bowling, Tropicana Homes: “Never before in the history of the home building industry have our local, state and national associations been more valuable than they are now. I shared this message with all my subcontractors and suppliers, and so many of them were happy to join or renew their membership.”

Matt Byrd, Matt Byrd Homes: “Our Greater Savannah Home Builder’s membership drive is always so much fun, competitive and one of our best events of the year. For me to be successful during the membership drive, I break out the Builder's rolodex every year, fill out a blank rolodex form and go to work.”

Dale Rockensuess, White Rock Construction: “I've always prioritized recruiting for my HBA because it’s the right thing to do. Winning this prize is incredibly humbling.”

Jordan Schweiger, Good Well Construction, Inc.: “We should all make one phone call a day to potential new members; one person a day —  that's only 10 minutes. I want to do my part to support the HBA. If I see that I'm working with contractors who aren't members, I know it’s on me to try and make that happen.”

Adrian Balderas, A B Builders: “I'm really passionate about the industry, and if you work in it, you should be giving back.
