front exterior of thar 2021Now in its final stages of renovation, The New American Remodel 2021 is nearly complete and preparing to make its official debut during the 2021 IBSx Virtual Experience, Feb. 9-12.

“This has been the most fun part of the project, when everything really comes together,” said Rob Smith, owner of E2 Homes, which oversaw the project. “It’s always so fulfilling to see the home come to life, especially in a home like this that has so many innovative features.”

Smith said that among some of the most recent products that were installed, the Phantom screens on the front balconies and the back lanai made a big impact. The screens help create a new dynamic that blends the interior of the home with its natural surroundings.

Workers install the Phantom screens on the home’s front balconies, which overlook Lake Sue.

“The indoor-outdoor flow of the home was a big focus of ours from the very start of this renovation,” Smith said. “The screens played a critical role, particularly in showcasing the lakefront views and optimizing the full-size outdoor kitchen.”

Originally built in 1973, the home previously featured a total of five levels, with a variety of angles and different ceiling heights. Though its design was modern for its era, the home was very inefficient by today’s energy standards. After the comprehensive renovations from E2 Homes are complete, The New American Remodel 2021 has the potential to set the program record for improved energy efficiency.

The finished product will boast a total of 5,474 square feet and feature six bedrooms, six-and-a-half baths, a showroom two-car garage, pool, wine room and a courtyard with numerous indoor-outdoor living features.

Virtual tours of the remodeled home — along with its counterpart, The New American Home — will be hosted for all IBSx attendees throughout the show. Tour details are forthcoming. For more information, visit buildersshow.com.
