Boost Construction Careers and Win an Award

notepadNAHB Student Chapters want to honor those builders, remodelers and trade partners who promote careers in the home building industry with one of two national awards. But get your entry form in soon: The application deadline is Oct. 21.

Industry Advisory Board Member of the Year (post-secondary). This award recognizes an NAHB builder member serving on the Construction Management, Industry Advisory Board at a university or college.

Construction is a practice-oriented profession, so it’s necessary for the construction industry to to be active advisors. Student and industry relations is a vital part of the student’s educational experience through field trips, guest speakers, internships and the industry helping to shape classroom curriculum. Program/Occupational Advisory Committee Member of the Year. (high school). This award recognizes an NAHB member or HBA staff member who mentors students, assists with curriculum reviews to make sure it is relevant and reflects industry standards, plans guest speaker events and field trips, informs school of knowledge and skills employers are looking for in the community, and informs school of industry trends.
