Fair Housing, Warranty Issues in Latest Liability Update

The NAHB Office of Legal Affairs has released the latest issue of the Construction Liability and Risk Management Update, and it’s available to members and HBA staff signed in to nahb.org.

Vol. 17 includes an update on a recent settlement agreement resulting for a case for violations of the Fair Housing Act in a multifamily development project, a settlement in Florida regarding a builder’s sales practices and handling of warranty claims, updates on two cases involving windows and wireless thermostats, and industry reports on global green building trends.

This issue also contains updates on OSHA enforcement activity, worker misclassification, and a statement by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding the Formaldehyde in Laminate Flooring Report.
