President Trump on Sept. 26 nominated Judge Amy Coney Barrett to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg as the next Associate Justice on the Supreme Court.

In a statement responding to the president’s choice, NAHB Chairman Chuck Fowke said:

“NAHB supports President Trump’s nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett as Associate Justice to the U.S. Supreme Court. Throughout her distinguished career as a federal appellate judge and Notre Dame law professor, Judge Barrett has been recognized for her sharp legal mind and as a steadfast defender of the Constitution. In her court decisions, Judge Barrett has been a bulwark against government overreach, ruling in favor of private property rights and providing certainty for small business owners who must constantly grapple with burdensome regulations.”

the NAHB should keep politics at this level out of it as membership will decline

  2. TP says:

Why is NAHB “supporting” her nomination? What cases has she ruled in favor of home builders?
Ridiculous for NAHB to put out a statement for this.

I completely agree with the 2 earlier comments. NAHB should stay out of politics. This endorsement is a inappropriate and completely off base. Shame on you, this is disgusting!
