NAHB connected with Zach Elkin, general manager for Signature Kitchen Suite, ahead of the 7th annual Design and Construction Week® in Las Vegas, for a preview of 2020.

This is first-of-its-kind pro range with built-in sous vide, induction and gas, all on the cooktop for the ultimate versatility. This innovation provides at-home chefs the ability to achieve restaurant-quality results in their own kitchen.

Q:  Can you share a sneak peek of Signature Kitchen Suite’s plans at IBS/KBIS?

A: Three years into our mission of transforming the luxury appliance category, Signature Kitchen Suite looks to make even greater inroads with builders in 2020, starting first with our biggest-ever presence at IBS/KBIS in a few short weeks. Our award-winning 48-inch dual-fuel pro-range – arguably the most versatile range ever built thanks to the first-of-its-kind built-in sous vide, gas burners and induction and more – is being joined by a 36-inch model with sous vide and induction for maximum kitchen sizes and configuration options. For builders of urban homes and high rises, this is groundbreaking. This pro-range will be paired with a 36-inch hood that has been engineered to be installed without the need for a make-up air system.

Signature Kitchen Suite and LG Electronics are also platinum sponsors for both The New American Home (TNAH) at Ascaya and The New American Remodel (TNAR) in Las Vegas – notably the highlight of the IBS Show. There, visitors can see firsthand the exceptional line of innovative products and incredible designs of Phil Kean’s TNAR vision and the build of Sun West Custom Homes in the TNAH project. I assure you they won’t be disappointed. At the heart of both homes are state-of-the-art kitchens with built-in Signature Kitchen Suite appliances that blend innovation, precision and purposeful design for every kitchen and every appetite.

The Signature Kitchen Suite “Experience & Design Center” located in Napa Valley, Calif., features nearly 200 home appliances and serves as a brand epicenter to explore the intersection between technology and culinary innovation.

Q: As we enter the next decade, what is your take on the needs of home builders?

A:  Simply put, today’s progressive builders are looking for innovation and brands that provide solutions.

Clients interested in high-end, luxury kitchens – we refer to them as TechnicureansTM – are looking for not just performance, but also precision. Take for instance our new wine column refrigerators – they are built-in and inspired by old-world wine caves. They use Wine CaveTM Technology that protects prized wine collections from vibration, light and variations in temperature and humidity – the primary impediments to wine. This solution redefines preservation and storage for at-home collections.

Builders also need resources and support, which is why we developed our new Experience & Design Center in Napa Valley to give them a hands-on way to compare brands and products for their customers. Since opening our doors to this brand immersion hub just a year ago, we’ve hosted nearly 1,500 guests – providing personalized demos, training programs and interactive cooking experiences.

Q: Where can we learn more about Signature Kitchen Suite innovations?

During Design & Construction Week, we hope you’ll visit the Signature Kitchen Suite/LG Electronics booth (#C8101). You’ll also want to make a point to see TNAH and TNAR. Tours of the homes are offered to all registered attendees of the IBS or KBIS, through Jan. 23, and complimentary shuttle buses from the Las Vegas Convention Center are available. See you all in Vegas!
