NAHB Global is scouring the earth for the leaders solving local, regional, national or even global problems with unique solutions. This year, the Global Innovation Award, which annually honors the innovators in the global residential building industry, launched a new award category that focuses on leadership.

The new category aims to honor the leading innovations in:

  • Land planning, building design and specific manufacturing techniques involved in producing buildings (e.g., easy-to-ship manufactured housing);
  • Restoration of existing housing or a communal building that may have been affected by a natural disaster; and
  • Holistic approaches to creative building applications that result in better quality of life (accessibility, safety, purified water, air, zero energy, hydro and agricultural, etc.).

The new leadership category joins two other categories: internal/external, which includes unique and innovative internal and/or external products in the residential housing industry; and education/technology service, which includes unique and innovative technologically advanced or an educational service/product in the residential housing industry.

Winners will be recognized at the 2020 NAHB International Builders’ Show, as well as in various media outlets throughout the year.

NAHB Global welcomes submissions from member and non-member companies outside the United States, as well as domestic or multinational companies that offer solutions outside of the United States. Submit applications now through Friday, Oct. 18.
