CongressNAHB’s 2019 Spring Leadership Meeting and Legislative Conference is June 4-8 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. If you have not yet made your travel arrangements and booked your hotel, please do so now.

This is a busy time of year in Washington, D.C., and the Marriott Wardman Park is only holding rooms for our members until tomorrow, May 14. Register and book your hotel room today at nahb.org/springleadership. It may be challenging to get a room the Marriott — or another hotel — after the cutoff date.

This is an important meeting that you won’t want to miss. NAHB members will ensure housing remains a national priority during meetings with members of Congress as part of the 2019 Legislative Conference. The inaugural meeting of the NAHB Leadership Council will also convene, which will identify and address emerging industry issues, policy priorities, current business trends and the tools our members need to be successful.

There are currently two resolutions and three recommendations submitted by NAHB delegates for consideration by the Leadership Council. The resolutions relate to Housing Affordability and Preservation of Tax-Exempt Status for Trade Associations, and the recommendations relate to Qualifications for the Chair of the NAHB Budget & Finance Committee, Policy on the Affiliation Agreement and the Sunset Review Process.

View the resolutions and recommendations.

Resolutions and recommendations still may be submitted for consideration at the Leadership Council meeting, but will require a two-thirds majority vote, rather than a simple majority for passage. To submit a resolution or recommendation, please contact staff member Heather Voorman.

Visit nahb.org/springleadership as soon as possible to confirm your plans to attend and book your hotel reservation.
