Last Chance to Weigh in on WOTUS – Comments Due April 15

Filed in Codes and Regulations, Environmental by on April 10, 2019 3 Comments

streamNAHB is urging members and HBAs to voice support for the proposed new definition for “waters of the United States” (WOTUS) by submitting comment letters to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Army Corps of Engineers by next Monday, April 15. NAHB has created a letter template that can be edited and customized on behalf of home builders or HBAs.

The Trump administration’s proposed new definition will resolve years of uncertainty over where federal jurisdiction begins and ends, representing an important victory for NAHB members.

To submit your comments, go to Regulations.gov, and customize the NAHB comment letter. Please note that items highlighted in yellow must be edited before your letter is submitted.

More information about the proposed rule can be found at nahb.org/wotus.

If you have any questions, please contact NAHB environmental policy analysts Michael Mittelholzer at 800-368-5242 x8660 or Evan Branosky at x8662.

I am a Land Developer. I developed land and built homes in Southern California for 49 years, but since 1997, we moved our operation to Utah. I served as Chairman of the CBIA Legislative Committee for several years. I am greatly interested in WOTUS. I would appreciate being kept up to date on the latest.
    Thank you
