Building Systems Councils Awards Honor Top Designs and Industry Professionals

The year’s best systems-built homes, industry professionals and marketing initiatives were recognized recently at the Building Systems Housing Summit.

Named after a longtime council supporter and champion of the offsite construction industry, the Building Systems Councils’ Jerry Rouleau Awards for Excellence in Home Design and Marketing were handed out in 14 categories.

This year’s home design winners showcased the flexibility offered by systems-built construction. From a modern and modestly sized home that blended the best in traditional log and modular manufacturing to a sprawling lake-side timber frame residence, the 2019 home design honorees highlighted the diverse nature of the industry. Touchscreen and Alexa Floor Plans from Ritz-Craft Homes

On the marketing side, entries for social media outreach, website design, print advertisement, presentation of home plans and brochures wowed the judges. A number of unique projects were submitted, including the entry of distinction award recipient in the presentation of home plans category, which was won by Ritz-Craft Homes for their mobile touchscreen kiosk that can be easily viewed while touring a model home.
