Join an NAHB Committee: But Do This First

But there is also another looming deadline that will determine which NAHB members are eligible to apply: You must ensure that your membership is current and in good standing by Aug. 31 and verify that the records reflect that fact.

If there are issues with your membership, please contact your local association and ask the staff to resolve them before Aug. 31 to allow you to submit an application before the deadline.

Current committee and council members interested in serving another year must resubmit their applications: There are no automatic multiyear appointments.

Your NAHB Senior Officers strongly encourage all members to think about throwing their hats into the ring for 2019. You must be logged in to see this page or submit an application.

To apply:

  • Review the criteria for serving on a committee or council.
  • Select up to six committees or councils and rank them according to preference, explaining why you are interested in serving, whether you have served before and whether someone has recommended you to serve on that committee or council.
  • Review the application and submit. You will receive a confirmation that your application was received.
  • If you want to make changes to your application, simply go back to the application link and make your edits.
