$5,500 Raised for Associate Grants at Midyear Fundraiser

NAHB and the National Housing Endowment Associate Member Leadership Fund hosted an event that raised $5,500 for the Associates Leadership Grant at the recent Midyear Board of Directors Meeting in Portland, Oregon.

The Associates Leadership Grant provides travel assistance for Associate members, including trade partners and service providers, to attend NAHB board meetings. All NAHB members benefit when high-level meetings include diverse voices. Associate members are an integral part of the Federation and valued partners to all home builders.

That sentiment was front and center among the nearly 40 attendees of the fundraiser, held at the renowned Urban Farmer Steakhouse in downtown Portland.

Members of the NAHB Associate Members Committee gather in Portland to raise money for travel assistance.

Not only did attendees enjoy great food and drinks, some walked away with some great door prizes for being part of this important event.

Winners included:

  • Diana Lucero of Rich Built Remodeler/Builder in New Mexico won a dinner for two in Las Vegas during the 2019 International Builders’ Show.
  • Norma Jean Estes of Estes Building and Remodeling in Mississippi and Kevin Kartak of AAA Kartak Glass & Closet in Washington each won two tickets to the 2019 IBS closing concert.
  • Joyce Yates of Chandler Concrete in North Carolina won a box of Arturo Fuente Chateau Series Double Chateau Natural Toro cigars.

But the real winners were Associate NAHB members who will now be able to attend future board meetings to ensure the voices of valuable associate members are heard.

Donations to the Associate Member Leadership Fund are still being accepted. Support this worthy cause today.
