Leaders of the systems-built housing industry are gathering in Knoxville, Tenn., this fall for the Building Systems Housing Summit.

The only national conference for the entire offsite construction community, the summit caters to builders, manufacturers and suppliers of modular, panelized, concrete, log and timber frame homes. It takes place Sept. 30-Oct. 2, at the Hilton Knoxville.

“I am extremely excited about the Summit speaker lineup,” said Michael Weber, chairman of the Building Systems Councils (BSC) and chief operating officer of Zero Energy Systems in Coralville, Iowa. “Additionally – and the survey data backs this up – the conference is a tremendous networking venue. It brings attendees back year after year.”

Last year’s gathering in Hershey, Pa., was the highest attended BSC event in the post-recession era.

“Simply put, Summit ‘17 was a tremendous event,” said Norm Hall, BSC immediate past chairman and factory-built structures industry manager for Simpson Strong-Tie. “I got to reconnect with individuals I had not seen in years, and it could have only occurred at an event like this for the entire industry.”

Nationally recognized speaker David Lupberger and NAHB chief economist Robert Dietz are scheduled to speak at the summit along with Nashville radio host Michelle Moore. In addition to general education sessions, breakout discussions specific to the manufacturing methods represented by the BSC will also be available to attendees.

The summit is also a fantastic opportunity for those serving the systems-built housing industry to interact with manufacturers and builders across the country.

“From a sponsorship prospective, we always make the Building Systems Housing Summit a priority,” said Tifanee McCall, national account manager for the Residential Warranty Company. “RWC has been involved with this event for years. It’s great meeting people new to the industry and connecting with old friends.”

Register for the Summit now at nahb.org/summit. Early-bird pricing is in effect until July 27.

A limited amount of sponsorship opportunities are still available for this year’s conference. Companies interested in sponsoring the summit should contact Don Berey.
