RSVP Today to Tour Cutting-Edge Homes at IBS

Once you’ve hit the show floor at the International Builders’ Show Jan. 9-11, make sure you hit the road with NAHB’s unique home tours.

Buses will leave each morning, taking you on one of four tours throughout Orlando to see the latest features, trends and methods in real homes and real context. Tickets are required for all tours and going fast, so sign up quickly.

The New American Home and The New American Remodel

See the latest in design trends, product innovations, smart-home technology and green building techniques as you spend time in IBS’ official show homes.

Located in an Orlando golf community, The New American Home® is designed in a modern Tuscan style with a variety of earthy textures to create a sophisticated comfort for elevated everyday living. And in its second year, The New American Remodel™ is the amazing result of a two-story 1930s home transformed using today’s products and building techniques, yet maintaining much of its original design.

Tours are complimentary, but a ticket is required.

Ticket booth location and hours:

  • Tuesday Jan. 9 – Thursday, Jan. 11, 7 a.m.-3 p.m. daily
  • The New American Home: West Concourse, Level 2, Hall C Lobby, Booth W39
  • The New American Remodel: West Concourse, Level 2, Hall C Lobby, Booth W38

Buses depart every 30 minutes from outside the Westwood Lobby in the back of the West Concourse of the Orange County Convention Center beginning at 8 a.m., with the last bus departing at 3 p.m. each show day.

55+ Housing Community Tour

The tour includes this patio at a home in a 55+ community near Orlando.

Experience Florida’s unique take on 55+ communities Wednesday, Jan. 10, as you tour exceptional 55+ properties and gain insights on the newest trends and amenities that will help your company stay ahead of the competition.

One community you’ll tour will have 533 single-family homes for ages 55+, with features including pickle ball and tennis courts, a championship golf course and close proximity to cafes, retail and Downtown Disney.

Another community features a lake and clubhouse that draw residents with a fitness center, a ballroom, boating and kayaking. There are more than a dozen floor plans to choose from.

Tickets cost $85 and include a box lunch. Check-in and bus loading are from 8-8:30 a.m. outside the Westwood Lobby.

Custom Home Tour

Wednesday is also the day you can come see the latest design trends and techniques custom builders are advancing in this tour of an evolving market, featuring spectacular homes with craftsmanship and elegant finishes you’ll want to apply to your own projects.

Tickets cost $85 and include a continental breakfast. Breakfast, check-in and bus loading take place from 6:45-7:30 a.m. at the Westwood Lobby.

Green Home Tour

Want to see homes that showcase the latest sustainable design trends and high performance building techniques? Join this tour from 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, to learn how you can incorporate green features and practices consumers want into your next home. Each home is designed and built to be certified to the National Green Building Standard.

Tickets cost $85 and include a boxed lunch and a hard hat. Check-in and bus loading occurs at the Westwood Lobby from 7:30-8 a.m.

Tickets for the 55+, Custom and Green home tours be purchased online through Jan. 6, 2018 by adding them to your IBS registration. Tickets purchased on or prior to Dec. 1, 2017 will be mailed. Tickets purchased between Dec. 2, 2017 and Jan. 6, 2018 must be picked up by the purchaser on-site at the Special Events ticket counter at IBS Registration.
