Use NAHB’s Marketing Data to Eclipse Your Competition

eclipseAs Monday’s total eclipse draws near, it’s too late for communities in the Path of Totality (100% coverage) to remodel to accommodate all their extra guests.

But we thought it’d be fun to use our Remodeling Expenditures by ZIP Code marketing intelligence data set to show what some areas who’ll get the best view are spending on remodeling.

You can use this tool to determine where to focus your marketing efforts — and outshine your competition — by pinpointing the best neighborhoods based on owner income, average expenditures, education, age of housing stock and more.

Nashville is the largest city in the path, and home owners there will reach another milestone in 2017, with home remodeling spending surpassing $1 billion.

Columbia, S.C., will enjoy one of the longest time spans with the sun blocked out, at 2 minutes, 35 seconds. Home owners there will put nearly half a billion dollars into improvements.

The wide open sand hills of North Platte, Neb., has just two ZIP codes and less than 25,000 residents, but they will spend $15 million on renovations this year.

NAHB Remodeler members get state-level data for free, and a discount on the full U.S. data set.
