Ivory Coast

Ivory Coast Ambassador to the United States Daouda Diabate (center) invited NAHB Global staff members to the country’s embassy in Washington, D.C. to discuss ways to alleviate the West African republic’s housing shortage — and to understand how building systems, rather than stick-built construction, might speed the process of providing more new homes for its citizens. The meeting was part of the association’s long-standing efforts to help open up global markets for NAHB members. NAHB has invited the embassy staff and other Ivory Coast leaders to attend the 2018 International Builders’ Show, where they can conduct a presentation at the Show’s International Central on doing business with their country.
