How Increased Regulations Could Impact Modular Construction

Labor shortages and scheduling challenges continue to leave many home builders searching for solutions. Those who want to save time and money could benefit from learning about systems building techniques.

One of the easiest ways to find out more about this building method — a strategy that streamlines the construction process, improves quality control and minimizes waste, all while reducing costs — is to check out the monthly series of free “Lunch-n-Learn” webcasts hosted by NAHB’s Building Systems Councils (BSC).

The webcasts cover a wide variety of topics impacting the systems built housing industry. This month’s focus is on the escalating amount of regulatory fees — one of the biggest hurdles for modular construction, which often faces additional regulations.

Join the BSC for the upcoming webcast on Wednesday, April 26 at 10 a.m. ET, when the featured guest will be Tom Hardiman, executive director of the Modular Home Builders Association.

With more than 14 years of experience addressing regulations, Hardiman will share his insights about which codes and regulations could have the largest impact on the modular home industry.

The webcast series is presented through Adobe Connect. There’s nothing to download; all you need is an internet connection and a phone to participate.
