The National Institute of Building Sciences has named Michigan home builder and NAHB board member Don Pratt to a three-year term on its board of directors.
The nonprofit institute’s mission is to promote better collaboration between the public and private sector in advancing building safety, sustainability and affordability.
Pratt, a longtime leader on the NAHB Construction, Codes and Standards Committee and subcommittees, is owner and chief executive officer of Construction Education & Consulting Services of Michigan, LLC.
He also owns Pratt Building Company and is a code enforcement officer for the city of Orchard Lake Village.
Pratt replaces Dwight “Sunny” Richardson, who served on the institute’s board as NAHB’s representative for three years.
