NAHB Remodelers is seeking members interested in serving on one of its subcommittees. Participants serve one-year terms during which they play key roles in recommending various policies, implementing programs and working to strengthen the remodeling industry nationwide.
Members can apply to any one of NAHBR’s three subcommittees, including Membership and Communication, Learning Content and Legislative, and Regulatory and Green Remodeling Issues.
In 2016, some of the noteworthy projects and programs NAHBR subcommittee members worked on included:
- Participating in a “Remodel the Red” local council outreach competition.
- Evaluating proposed International Builders’ Show education sessions.
- Developing an elevator speech describing why consumers should hire a member.
- Providing on-the-job insights to guide NAHB’s legislative and regulatory teams on issues such as lead paint recertification and the confined spaces rule.
To apply to be appointed to any of these subcommittees for the 2017 term, log in to nahb.org and complete the application by Friday, Feb. 17. Applicants must be current NAHB Remodelers members.
