Local Remodelers Councils, Individuals Honored with CADREs

The Council Awards for Demonstrating Remodeling Excellence (CADREs) were presented at the NAHB Remodelers All Stars Party during the 2016 Remodeling Show in Baltimore earlier this month. The 2016 CADRE winners included both hard-working individuals and successful councils from HBAs across the nation who exemplified best practices within the remodeling industry.

The councils honored with a 2016 CADRE include:

community-service-award-recipient-remodelers-council-of-greater-houston-builders-association-1Community Service Award: Remodelers Council of Greater Houston Builders Association – Members of the council made significant alterations throughout the home of a mother of four foster children (one of whom has severe physical disabilities) to improve the home’s wheelchair accessibility.

Remodelers Council of the HBA of Greater Tulsa – The council was honored for its successful recruiting efforts, as well as for increasing member retention and meeting attendance.

Remodelers Council of the HBRA of Central Connecticut The council established a codes education program that included five sessions at several different locations to increase awareness of codes new regulations before they became law.

Remodelers Council of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish CountiesCouncil members’ efforts to improve the 30th anniversary event resulted in more than doubling attendance and tripling sponsorships, as well as increasing award entry submissions by nearly one-fifth.



The individuals who received a 2016 CADRE include:

Wrendon Davis, Remodelers Council of the Greater Birmingham Associate of Home Builders Throughout his 34 years as a council member, Davis has established a successful track record of strengthening relationships between the council and the industry.



aaron-marvinOutstanding Council Chair. Aaron Marvin, Remodelers of Clark County – Marvin became head of the council in 2015 and successfully executed a plan to change its name, mission and logo.

Gabby Bridenbaugh, Remodelers Council of the HBA of Greater Tulsa Bridenbaugh was honored for her key role in advising council leaders throughout many council events and in managing its finances.
