houseincartDo you want to know how your local housing market is doing and how it stacks up to other areas?

As NAHB economist Na Zhao reports in a recent Eye on Housing blog post, NAHB has updated an online tool that provides economic and housing statistics for all local associations.

The tool allows HBAs across the nation to find the latest local housing statistics in their specific area and compare how they stack up to other associations, state and national figures. In addition to providing members with information on the local market, executive officers may find this tool helpful when responding to requests from local media.

The statistics provided are NAHB tabulations based on an aggregation of county-level data from the 2014 American Community Survey (ACS) 5-year estimates and 2014 Building Permits Survey. The tabulations are conducted by the Census Bureau and based on the latest available data.

The NAHB tabulated statistics include data on homeownership rates, home owner vacancy rates, single-family construction, income of home owners, single- and multifamily permits issued, and more.
