Members of the Building Systems Councils (BSC) are celebrating National Building Systems Week today through Aug. 8. The week-long event is aimed at educating consumers about system-built homes and providing them with information that would be helpful when planning for a new home.

During the week members are encouraged to offer model home tours, product demonstrations, factory tours, education sessions and other events to promote system-built homes.

Prefabricated by skilled craftsmen in an efficient, controlled setting, systems-built homes, which include modular, panelized, concrete, log and timber homes, provide home buyers alternatives to home building that often save them time and money.

“What many consumers don’t realize is that once systems-built homes are completed they are indistinguishable from their traditional site-built cousins. And that’s something we want to be able to show them,” said BSC Chairman Dan Mitchell, owner and president of Eagle CDI Inc. in Seymour, Tenn.

The Building Systems Councils staff put together a marketing toolkit to help with promoting the week. Check it out today. For any questions, contact John Lingerfelt.
