Longtime HBA of West Florida members Sarah Robinson (left) and Paul Jansen of Jansen Quality Construction receive a Home & Products Expo Best Exhibit Award from HBA show manager Vicki Pelletier.

Since 1980, the Pensacola-based Home Builders Association of West Florida has hosted the ever-popular Home and Products Expo, where thousands of home owners and home buyers see the latest products and services that exhibiting home service companies have to offer.

The most recent Expo took place Aug. 21-23 at the Pensacola Bay Center, where 98 vendors showcased anything from home renovations, granite countertops, appliances, lighting fixtures to backyard grills, generators, pools and home furnishings.

“We’ve been extremely fortunate to have such a great response from our vendors every year who participate in the show,” said HBA Executive Director David Peaden. More than 3,500 people attended this year’s event.

“This is a testament to the leadership that our show manager, Vicki Pelletier, demonstrates in recruiting quality companies and treating each one of them with great care and customer service. It’s not easy to handle the needs of 98 different companies, but Vicki does it flawlessly,” Peaden said.

“I also appreciate Expo Chairman Ron Castner of Castner Construction for his time and effort during the show,” he said. “He drops everything with his business to volunteer his time to make the Expo a success.”

The HBA hosted its Membership Networking meeting to coincide with the Expo Awards Luncheon and Silent Auction. The proceeds from the auction help many local charities the HBA supports throughout the year.
