BALA Magazine Reaps Honors

BALA magazine coverNAHB’s Best in American Living has been honored with a Gold Circle Award as an outstanding e-magazine by ASAE, the national society for association executives.

The award will be presented next month during ASAE’s Marketing, Membership and Communications Conference in Washington, D.C.

Best in American Living focuses on design and development issues for home builders, developers, architects, designers and remodelers and features award-winning projects from all over the country and internationally.

“This award recognizes associations who are creating effective ways to communicate their messages including elements of creativity, design, technology, and metrics, which measure the success of their tactics and campaigns,” said ASAE president and CEO John H. Graham IV, FASAE, CAE.

“Marketing, membership and communications are crucial functions for any association – it’s the primary means for sharing information with members and staff as well as branding the organization to the global community.”

Entries for the Gold Circle Awards competition are judged consistently in each category based on established criteria for excellence in association marketing, membership communication and component relations programs.

Judges are experienced marketing, membership and communication professionals from associations, nonprofits, and for-profit organizations.

“I’m so delighted to see the growing success of this visually stunning online magazine get recognized through this award,” said NAHB Design Committee Chair Joanne Theunissen. “It’s the best place I know of to learn what’s trending now in home and community design, in a format that even works on my smart phone.”
