NAHB Remodelers raised more than $10,000 in contributions for BUILD-PAC during their first fundraising event on June 3 in conjunction with NAHB’s Spring Board of Directors meeting.

The Power of Yellow NAHB Remodelers Tour of the Home Innovation Research Labs, sponsored by Pella, was a fun opportunity for remodelers and guests to support NAHB advocacy through BUILD-PAC.

“I have always known the Remodelers to be an active group, but your personal contribution to BUILD-PAC at this event continues to unlock future successes for the home building industry and we greatly appreciate that support,” said Gregory F. Ugalde, a Connecticut builder and this year’s BUILD-PAC chairman.

Guests enjoyed a tour of the Home Innovation Research Labs with a special demonstration of Pella® Insynctive™ technology, which allows control of blinds and shades in Pella windows and patio doors with a remote, smartphone, tablet or computer.

“Beginning with the introduction of EPA’s lead paint rule, remodelers face increased regulation from Washington. BUILD-PAC plays a pivotal role in ensuring that these remodeling regulations are common sense,” said NAHB Remodelers Chairman Paul Sullivan. “I’m proud that NAHB Remodelers members supported BUILD-PAC at this event so that NAHB can continue to fight for remodelers on Capitol Hill.”
